Campzone, the biggest LAN-event of Holland is how the members United Desert Combat Soldiers formed their bond. This story takes you back to the winter of 2004, a few months before Campzone 4.
In this time two cousins, Xyrus and Captain Snow, felt they wanted to start a Desert Combat clan, so they could join the Campzone DC compo. They did this by opening a topic on the Campzone Forum, so other people that went to the same event could read the invitation and eventually even join.
The first person to respond to the topic was Drizoneovic, a guy who had played DC for a few months, along with some friends. At the time, the clan had only 3 members, but this was enough to create a name and United Desert Combat Soldiers was born. Although these 3 members had a lot of fun, there weren't with enough players to join the competition!
After a short time, more players joined! Vervangbaar, Party Boy, Ubernerd, all decided to show up, and a few weeks later E-Jungle, Snowfox and Tankcsapda joined the clan as well.
Although UDCS was a Dutch only clan by origin, Maximus from the UK, Spec Ops and Nightwolf from the US and Capt. Tali from Germany made it an international clan. It was in these days that Dimension, Combat Wombat, Born to be Wild, Lucky Sky Blaster and Marcus Brutus came fighting alongst side the United Soldiers. Not long after, Black-Shrek, Grutte Pier, Apocolypse and Floks made UDCS complete!
During the period before and during Campzone, UDCS was a strong and vital clan with a lot of good members, though a few months after Campzone 4 the clan died a silent and painless death. Because the absence of a few important members, the moral lowered and the UDCS spirit flew away like a dry brown leaf on a windy day in autumn.
Yet... there was still a little life in clan, enough to revive it again, like a dwindling flame, with a little help of Battlefield 2. With all the members playing this game, there was a new hope to relive the old days of UDCS! The newly formed UDCS-command took advantage of this opportunity and reshaped the whole clan and made it in to a real Battefield 2 clan.
What the future of the clan will be, only time can tell us!
